Anderida Fishing Club held a Beach Fishing Competition on Tuesday 6th June in Pevensey Bay.
Joe Plumstead caught a 3lb 13¼oz Smoothound, winning the comp convincingly. Joe also caught a bass, a sole and a flounder in the same comp, catching good quality fish and doing really well!

Gary Banfield, coming second also caught a good mix of fish with a nice sized bass, an eel and a flounder.

It all makes for interesting and varied fishing at the moment!

Anderida Beach Fishing Club held it's tenth competition of 2015  on Monday 18th May in Pevensey Bay, East Sussex, with 25 anglers fishing.
The rough seas earlier in the day helped to produce some good catches on the night. There were plenty of flounders caught, also eels, pout, a couple of bass,and even a nice codling for Tim Lane.

Anderida Beach Fishing Competition - 6th Match - Weds 18th March 2015

The sixth Anderida Beach Fishing Club competition of 2015 took place on Wednesday 18th March in Pevensey Bay, East Sussex, UK with 19 anglers fishing.

The overall winner was Malcolm Payne (pictured) who had a flounder and a codling in his total weight of 3lb 5oz. The biggest fish caught was a codling of 2lb 3½oz by David Tame (pictured), who also came second on the night.

Pictured also is Kevin Morgan with a dogfish of 1lb 10½oz.

The heaviest flat fish on the night was a 10½oz flounder for Tim Lane.

Anderida Beach Fishing Competition - 5th Match - Spring Run of Codling in Pevensey Bay - Weds 4th March 2015

Spring Run of Codling in Pevensey Bay

The fifth Anderida Beach Fishing Club competition of 2015 took place on Wednesday 4th March in Pevensey Bay, East Sussex, UK with 20 anglers fishing.

On a moonlit night, with a flat calm sea, anglers were surprised at the number of good-sized codling  caught from the shore. The largest cod at 3lb 7oz was caught by Tim Lane. Other species caught included whiting, pout, plaice, dab and rockling.

The winner of the comp was Glyn Morgan of Anglers Den with a bag including a codling, whiting, pout and ling.

Anderida Members Only Big Fish Comp - Sunday 22nd February 2015

Anderida Fishing Club held it's annual Members Only Beach Fishing Competition on Sun 22nd Feb in Pevensey Bay. This year the theme of the competition was different, with the biggest fish only being allowed to be weighed in. Anglers were permitted to bring their biggest flatfish and their biggest roundfish back to the scales, at the end of the comp.

The prizes were awarded for the top 4 heaviest roundfish, top 4 heaviest flatfish, and the top 4 combined flat and round weights.
