Deep Blue - Sovereign Harbour - 18th July 2014

Kev Morgan of Anglers Den, with sons Joe and Jamie, daughter Emily, plus friends went out on Deep Blue from Sovereign Harbour on Friday (18th July 2014), with skipper Steve Bradshaw.

The group enjoyed the best of weather and the catch included 11 Turbot, 2 Brill, a Bass and several Gurnards, plus the ?Starfish pictured below.

Deep Blue - Sovereign Harbour - 17th July 2014

Jim Whippy had a successful trip aboard Deep Blue (Sovereign Harbour) yesterday and caught this 7lb Bass
 and 9½lb Turbot. Pictured below is Jim with the Bass and Deep Blue's deckhand Malcolm Payne with the Turbot.

Catch of Black Bream - Pevensey Bay - 17th July 2014

Shawn Smith caught this 1lb Black Bream beach fishing in Pevensey Bay, which he later cooked and enjoyed. The magnificent looking Black Bream is known as a hard fighting, as well as delicious sea fish species.

The Sussex Marine Region of the Angling Trust has adopted the Black Bream into its logo and is working with anglers and other organisations in Sussex to recognise black bream as the 'county fish' of Sussex.

 Anderida Fishing Club held a beach competition on Thurs 10th July in Pevensey Bay, with 22 anglers fishing. Although the fishing was a little patchy, it was good to see some Dover Sole being caught.

Big Bass in Pevensey Bay - 5th July 2014

Jason Anderson from Hailsham caught this fantastic Bass fishing in Pevensey Bay on Saturday night. The fish tipped the scales at an impressive 8lb 41/2oz and fell to lugworm bait.
