Many thanks to Steve Bridger who sent this picture of his friend Peter with a cracking bass, caught whilst wreck fishing on a private boat out of Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne.

Anderida Beach Fishing Competition - 15th Match - Thurs 30th July 2015

Anderida Fishing Club held a Beach Fishing Competition on Thursday 30th July in Pevensey Bay, with 19 anglers fishing the comp.

Pevensey Bay Angling Club held its seventh Beach Fishing Competition of 2015 on Sunday 19th July  between 9am - 1pm in Pevensey Bay, East Sussex.

24 anglers entered this comp, with 8 weighing in

Scarecrow Festival 2015 Pairs Beach Fishing Competition - Pevensey Bay

Our beaches were alive with the sight of Scarecrow Anglers!!!

The Pevensey Villages 2015 Scarecrow Festival Beach Fishing Competition took place on Saturday 18th July 2015 in Pevensey Bay. For more information about the Scarecrow Festival see http://pevenseyvillages.org/

10 points were awarded to each angler who arrived for the comp dressed as a scarecrow, and the result was very amusing.

What a great turn out for this Pairs (one junior, one senior) Catch and Release Comp - lots of checked shirts, patched dungarees, straw hats, the odd parsnip nose, a great gathering of (some, very) young, and (quite) old Scarecrow Anglers - even Worzel was there!

It was a beautiful sunny, albeit breezy, day for this beach comp, and some of the best fish were caught by the juniors,as pictured below. Results

Anderida Fishing Club held a Beach Fishing Competition on Wednesday 15th July in Pevensey Bay. The main species caught were eel and flounder, with Darren Mitchell catching a nice sized bass (pictured below).
